  The purpose of the 5th interdisciplinary conference jointly organized
  by the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law (MPICC)
  and the Centre for Security and Society at the University of Freiburg
  is to bring together researchers and practitioners from various
  disciplines.
  IT professionals, lawyers, law enforcement and intelligence
  agents, as well as judges, prosecutors, forensic specialists,
  and psychologists will contribute their special expertise to the
  discussion of current security issues.
 
  SCOPE
  The conference covers five interdisciplinary thematic areas. In each area,
  experts will address current issues and set the tone for in-depth discussion.

  PAPER SUBMISSION
 
  Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research
  papers. Submissions to the conference should clearly state the
  research contribution, their relevance to the conference, as
  well as their relation to prior research.
 
  Authors should submit an extended abstract of at most 4 pages.
 
  Abstracts from authors that match the scope of the conference
  will be asked to submit a full paper (max. 12 pages) for peer review
  due to 1. January 2012. Papers submitted to the conference will be peer-
  reviewed by at least three different reviewers. Accepted papers
  will be included in the conference proceedings published as a book
  by Duncker & Humblot, Berlin in the interdisciplinary series of the
  Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law.
