The Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law invites older schoolchildren, students, and others who are interested to attend a "Max Planck Day" on November 11, 2011. To mark the 100th anniversary of the Max Planck Society, many of the 80 Max Planck Institutes throughout Germany will be opening their doors to the public on this day.
Researchers from the Departments of Criminal Law and Criminology will discuss aspects of crime and security from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The current results of ongoing research projects on such topics as our sense of security, criminal sanctions, preventive detention, computer crime, and Internet security will be presented by the researchers. The presentations specifically address young people 16 years of age and over as well as adults. Tours of the Institute will include the opportunity to visit the library.
