Directors
The Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law houses two departments, the Department of Criminal Law and the Department of Criminology, each headed by one director. The duties and responsibilities of Managing Director are carried out for alternating two-year periods by the directors.
Prof. Dr. Hans-Jörg Albrecht heads the Department of Criminology and is currently Managing Director of the Institute. The Department of Criminal Law is under the direction of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Sieber.
